德语语法(英德对照)-Compound nouns

Many German nouns are formed by putting two or more shorter nouns together.

 


 Try guessing the word before displaying the answer

Erdbeere + torte                                                         strawberry + cake
Milch + Kaffee                                                             milk + coffee
 

These compound nouns are often linked in the middle with -e, -en, -es or -n. The word for the is usually the one corresponding to the last noun added in the compound.
